Materials & Setup
What is GardenSoxx® made of?
What is GardenSoxx® made of?
The GardenSoxx® mesh is made from grade 5 recyclable polypropylene. This material is food-safe and approved for organic growing. It is also highly durable, allowing it to be used for multiple growing seasons, and can be recycled afterward.
Many products used in organic agriculture are made of HDPE/LDPE and PP. For example - Drip irrigation, which is in direct contact with your soil and sometimes touches the stem of the plant, is made of plastic. Plastic mulch, which covers the soil, is a film used in organic agriculture.
It is highly suggested to stop using the mesh as soon as degradation is noticed. It is also important to note that grade 5 polypropylene remains the safest plastic for use in agriculture.
